Lately our lab has taken to following me around constantly, whining, whining, whining. It doesn't matter if he's already eaten, gone to the bathroom, or gone for a walk. I've been taking him down to the closen-in pen nearby to play with other dogs a few times a day, but he constantly wants to be outside, playing fetch. Of course, he's a lab, so this is to be expected, but he's really driving me nuts! If he's really being unreasonable (like we just got back from playing), I try to ignore him. Any suggestions?

Hi Sammy,
I have a suggestion which worked for my golden retriever... I use to have the same problem. My 4 month puppy always use to whine and always wanted to be with me and I just couldnt take it anymore so we asked his trainer what we should do and she said just put him in his crate and let him whine (I know it sounds cruel, but it worked for us!) He just needs his alone time so just put him in their until he stops crying. Dont take him out if he's crying. i hope this helps! good luck
