Is there anything I should do as my 13 week pup has just eaten an elastic band. Unfortunately due to her coming to work with me, this is a daily hazzard. I hear it could be dangerous - any advice would be greatly appreciated. How would I know if it is causing a problem, how long will it take to pass through? etc etc

phone a vet and get professional advise. its not worth taking any risks or undue worry

Thanks, just called vets. Nothing I can do except hopefully wait for nature to work! (or wait for any other signs e.g vomiting)

Lydia, used to have a fettish for elastic bands. She once found one of the old golf balls and managed to break into it and eat the lot!!! Luckily they came out intact so now I don't have any elastic bands in the house!!
Keep an eye on her but I am sure she will bounce back (well someone had to say it!!!!)

I would be more conserned about paper clips, pen tops and drawing pins.

lol LD :D see you haven't changed xxxxx
As the rest say Emma - just keep an eye on her. It is possible that when she does pass it that she will have a little trouble then depending how nicely packaged it is - ermmmmmm how to say this nicely - it may pass out half way on it's own but not quite make it all the way and you may have to help
