Lucy I am so grateful for the advice about Naturediet lite. I started my dog on this on Friday straight away and by Sunday morning he was cured! i am amazed after all this time my dog is cured his poos are totally normal and he is going no where near as often. I cannot believe the difference in him he is loads more active and the bonus is its less than half the price we pay for the Hills ID.
Deefer the Westie has settled in well he was a rescue dog from a puppy farm he had a very miserable life. we're taking him camping at the weekend we're keen for him to do all the things he has missed out on, he loves travelling in the car and going to see my mums westie and he adores squeeky toys and tennis balls.
Thank you again Lucy I am really grateful.

Wendy

I am so glad it has worked for him !! It is absolutely amazing how quickly it works !!! It also makes them feel so much better as they always feel so guilty if they have an accident when they have colitis poor things but there is nothing they can do about it ! The food also is so tasty so it is like having a treat as well for them !! :D

Glad it worked !! :D I would recommend it to anybody, better than any medication !

Does anyone know if the Naturediet Puppy food would be ok for a 13 week old GSP pup who is just being treated for colitis? At the moment he is eating the Waltham Sensitivity Control chicken & rice (tinned) from the vets, but we are supposed to be changing him back to his normal food after 5 days of this. I had changed him onto Arden Grange from Eukanuba, as I think his problems started when he was on Eukanuba (not necessarily because of it, but I wasn't sure) so I was intending putting him back on Arden Grange until I read this thread. Is Naturediet as good for quality of ingredients etc as Arden Grange?

Buddy is 16mth old and is my first dog so i'm sorry i don't have enough experience to answer your question.
I would like to say though that thanks to Lucy who recommended Naturediet to another postee for colitis i have found amasing results. Buddy HAD life long problems with runny/frequent poo and 4 trips to vet to have anal glands emptied. Buddy was not diagnosed with having colitis but Westies are apparently prone to sensitive tums and even a couple of doggy biscuits would be enough to set him off.
I started Buddy on Naturediet on Monday and his poo is wonderful (even rattles in the poo bag now if you know what i mean) and he is not going as often. Only thing is and Lucy might be able to answer this if she see this post. Buddy had a very pale coloured poo this morning - is it due to new diet and did you notice this. The one he had a tea time was normal colour.
THANKS LUCY. Hope this keeps on working.

Hi I am back !

Been in hospital for three days but all is stable so they let me out ! Two weeks to go and counting !

Anyway the poo issue is probably just the digestive system adjusting. I wouldn't worry too much. If there is any blood etc then a visit to the vet maybe but just keep an eye out.

On the note from Stroppiemare re the 13 week old with collitis is this not abit early to diagnose this ??

If you go on the Nature diet's site they have a lot of info on the different types of foods they do and you can also mail them and ask their opinion as they are extremly helpful!
