I am very interested in this breed and i intend to hopefully in the near future get one. I have had dogs all my life but never a weimaraner. I have done lots of research into the breed as much as i can but I would like to know weather this is is a breed that is best on it's own in a household or are they better in two's ? I would like to have two dogs but not sure weather to have two of the same breed being the Weimaraner or one Weimaraner and one of my other favourite breeds the German Short Haired Pointer, are these a good breed to put together. I would appreciate some advice and feed back and as to weather two dogs, two bitches or one of each are best together from my experience of dogs generally two bitches are best Not put together but what is your opinion ??

Please help.
Thanks

I agree with Helen. Two dogs of any sex can get along fine. Even if they are the same breed. I have done this with APBTs and Staffs. I even had cats rabbits and rodents all get along together no problem. Dogs being pack animals will accept anything into the pack that the pack leader allows. If you are a good pack leader accepted by the dogs then they will do your bidding. If that means no fighting then no fighting it is. My only advice would be not to get them as pups together. They could be almost untrainable. Have at least a year between the pups and the first one should train the second one. My humble opinion.
