Hi All

Well Five weeks ago I had my bitch mated with a superb stud. Hopefully all is well and she is pregnant. How can I tell for sure she is pregnant? Is it worth getting her scanned (do all vets do this?) or should I just wait?

Regarding her food, she is eating scrambled egg,a and chicken as well as a few dog biscuits (she wont eat tinned dog food) - do I need to give her anything else?

Any advice would be great!

i have asked the same question ages ago as put on my earlier post and as new to the site didnt know if i had done something wrong

Yeah...actually, I read your post and didnt understand why it had been written on it. I wish they would write what is wrong rather than what they do write cos otherwise, no one knows what they have done wrong, and people will continue to do it.
Just a idea maybe.......

I am assuming the poster included details of breed, which could be seen as advertising... admin then goes on and deletes anything un-necessary to the question. Basically, its against the terms of service to advertise on CD.

good point, It didnt occur to me that they might have done that...I guess admin removed it so that is why I didnt see anything wrong in the post. Fair enough...thanks for that.

I think I included the type of my dog - oops. Anyway - any chance of an answer from someone?

at 5-6 weeks pregnant id have her on a good quality puppy food, the scrambled eggs etc wont have everything in both she and growing pups need, it should be a balanced food, and around now you should be upping her rations, did you worm her before she was mated ??? and some worm pregnant bitches now with the proper stuff from the vets through from certain days of there pregnancy, --hope this helps a touch,
