I have a 13 week old puppy who gets the hiccups every day, does anyone know the reason for this? She does love her food and woofs (excuse the pun) it down at approx 200 mph like she has not been fed for a week!!!.

Only likely reason is she is still a puppy, don't worry they all do it.

I know, I worry far too much....first puppy syndrome, thanks for the reassurance. - Georgina

Just posted the same question myself and then saw your post.
My 8 week old English springer has had 5 short spells of hickups since we picked him up yesterday.
Im also hoping its nothing to worry about.
My first puppy also so im paranoid about everything.

One of my pups used to get hiccups after every meal. And if she was startled (so no saying "Boo!" to get rid of them!)

She grew out of it, and was 15 years old when she died.

Thanks to everyone for all your reassurance, sorry I have not got back in touch as Tia (my puppy) went for her 2nd innoculation last Thursday evening and we have had bouts of sickness and diarrhoea since. She is pretty lively except when it gets hot outside so I am trying to keep her calm indoors.
