i am going to breed my dog soon as i have been planning to do so for a long time now. i was wondering when i find new homes for them all, what do i need to give to their new owners along with the puppy? also, what do the puppies need to have done at the vets before they do go to new homes?? and how long is it before the puppies can go outside on the lead? as you can see i still need to know a lot more stuff before i start breeding! i would also like to know how much injections and worming etc costs?

thanx a lot!!!

Hi Guest

Most of the questions you have asked need to be answered by your vet as the costs vary from vet to vet. Some breeds should have their eyes tested before they leave the dam and other breeds don't need this. Some breeds need other tests - Irish Wolfhounds and Dalmations are two that spring to mind, before they leave the breeder.

One of the things you need to give the new owners is the confidence that if anything goes wrong they can come to you and that you will do your best to help.
