i am looking to purchase my first weimaraner,do both set of parents need to be hip scored, the father is , the mother isn`t, but she comes from good history, should this be of a concern to me?

IMO yes, mainly because the owners of the bitch 'the breeders' did not take their responsibilities seriously enough to have her tested before mating. Or it could be she is to young to be tested & I'm not happy about that either.

What do you mean "comes from good history"? If she did, she would definitely be hip scored and have other certificates/tests done as well - eyes, elbows. I would be wary too.
