Hello,

Has anyone seen a judging order for gundog/utility day? Just need to know what ridiculously early hour of the morning I'll need to leave! Dizzy, are you going to be there?
- By Hadleys [gb] Date 09.07.03 22:06 UTC
Hi,

Have been looking for judging order myself and cant find one, the best I can do is show accepts dogs from 7am jugding starts at 9am for GSD, Boxer & Cockers. 9.30am for Afghan, Irish & English setters, GSP, Lab dogs, Goldens, Cavalier King Charles, SBT, Dobes, Rotties & Great Danes. Aveything else 10am
Bet you that isnt the case though! I dont think we have ever started at 10 even when we supposed to! :) So cant really help sorry! Wish I could though cos and extra hours sleep if we not first in the ring would be great!!

Dog World has the judging arrangements in today's issue. Munterlanders are first in ring 7 at 10am.

ps I used to have a munster many years ago, Hansmic breeding are they still around? The breeder was Helen Campton-Salmon (or a similar name, memory too good.)

Yes Helen is still here, she has 2 Munsters now, not actively showing but she's judging next year :D. What Hansmic was it you had as my 1st Munster's dam was a Hansmic (Truly Scrumptious - born in 1985).

I really didn't want a 10am start, this has never happened for Munsters!!!!! Means a 3am start now...yuck. Dizzy, hang around, if you see a very tired woman with 2 mad Munsters....guess what?????? ;)

I can't remember the name unfortunately, The only dog I remember on the circuit at the time was Liz Tyson's Lord Magnum, he was only a pup then, but I am sure he went on to great things and is in many a pedigree, georgous dog as I remember, that would give you a clue to the year I had mine. Unfortunately lost her at four, we think she had a type of brain tumour, just completely went off the rails poor thing. Helen was great all through it, so supportive, even offered us another dog FOC, but couldn't face it at the time, I do so love the breed still and often look in the Dog papers to see who is doing what.

Wow, Liz's "Alfie" lived to a good age - 14, I think and yes, he did go on to great things being a Sh.Ch. and cracking stud dog, my younger 2 are gt.grandchildren of his!

When you read the dog papers, my affix is Jagerreh, if you're ever at a show, please come over. Liz is still active in the breed and her lines all go back to Alfie! Must do my homework on your Munster! :D
- By sandrah Date 11.07.03 16:40 UTC
Thanks for that, I must have an eye for a good Munster :D. If Pastorals are on the same day as gundogs I will come and say hello.
