hello everyone i was just wondering if any one could give me some advice.
i have a 8month old lab pup, she seams to yap when we go out all the time she has company all day with another lab but she seams to just yap even if we nip to the shops and back. i keep getting the neighbours keep complaining i dont want to have to get rid of them as i love them to bits is there anything some could help.

first of all, the words "8 month" and "pup" are not related. that's like saying, "hi everyone, i have a 19 year old baby at home"

the training season is over. you are having trouble now because you didn't train him correclty in the beginning. so now, you must OVER-train. when he barks... squirt him in the face with pickle juice (have it set to stream). when you are not home, muzzle him tightly. he should not be able to get his mouth open.

good luck

Hi

I dont often leave my dogs in the house on their own. When we do we were getting complaints from the neighbours for yapping and howling etc. One sleeps locked in a crate the other beside the crate. We thought we will try splitting them up. We put one in another room completely and now we have no more complaints.

worth a try Mick.

As for the pickle juice Gerard I would listen to Brihow keep to go with the pinch of salt and put it on a bag of chips. Unless you are into torturing your dogs. Ive never heard anything so stupid and pathetic in all my life. Is there no childrens sites you can play on?.

Sorry Emma, couldn't resist....have a mental pic of this wonderfully entertaining Gerard as a silly schoolboy in shorts and ripped shirt ,undone tie, runny nose and a catapault in his back pocket....xx

Only in his imagination, the moron.

You could try the Aboistop collars that puff citrus scent up the dogs nose when they bark.

They can often be hired from a trainer or purchased from a pet store.
