I am hoping to start out in showing soon and am wondering about joining brred clubs. Is it best just to join a regional one, a national one or both? Any opinions would be welcome. Thanks, Sam.

I would say join both but it may depend which breed you have

I will soon have a bullmastiff bitch. I have looked into joining the Southern Bullmastiff Society and was wondering if it was worth also joining one of the national clubs.

Hi,
You could join all the breed club if you wish, within the bullmastiff ring in the uk there are 6 clubs all together.
They are: The Southern bullmastiff society
British bullmastiff league
Northern bullmastiff society
Bullmastiff Association
Scottish Bullmasttiff Society
and Welsh and West Bullmasttiff Society.
when i first started in Bullies i did join all of them, but now i am only a member of the Southern bullmastiff society as this the area that i am in and the one i have got involved with.
If you want the addresses and Secretary's numbers please let me know.
Karen.

I have been wondering about breed clubs, but as a complete newcomer to dog ownership, let alone my hope to show one day, I don't even know really what breed clubs do. What do you get out of it? What do they offer? Support? Networking? I am clueless :)
