I would die to own an Irish wolfhound. Ever since I saw one when I was young I have fallen in love with the breed, however my wife has a say in what we have so we have Afghan hounds that have a character all of their own. Large dogs are my first choice but having got to know border terriers if I could only have a small dog that would be the breed I would go for.

My other half would also love a wolf hound, he has wanted one ever since we first met 26 years ago. But amongst the dogs we have is an Afghan hound a couple of oldie shepherds and 2 chinese cresteds one day he will be able to get his wolfhound just really haven't the room at the moment

Favourites are GSD, Great Dane and probably Utonagan. Most wanted [and it's highly unlikely i'll ever be able to own any of these] have to be Cane Corso, Dogue De Bordeaux and Dobermann.

Would have to be;
1) Shiba Inu
2) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
3) Any northern breed i.e. husky, malamute, samoyed etc :)
By woodle83
Date 07.07.03 13:19 UTC
My most favourite would be
1- Siberian Husky especially my little baby bandit!!!
2- Alaskan Malamute
3-pearanese mountain dogs
Sorry cant spell very well.
So hard to choose a top three, but would have to be:
Golden retrievers, border collies and springer spaniels.
However also like, bernese mountain dogs, Newfoundlands, Akitas, chow chows, labs and flatcoated retrievers.
There's so many to choose from, when i watched crufts there were so many gorgeous breeds out there, but i'm particularly fond of gundogs and dogs from pastoral groups.
Gordon Setter
Airedale
and a dozen Yorkies!
Sandy ;)
