I know the feeling!!

wow Charlie, looks like you are being "shot down"/"critisised" for making a comment.
About the "irresponsible owner".....was she so irresponsible for rescuing the dog in the first place? I think not. She would have been called a lot worse had she been able to rescue the dog, but did nothing. At the end of the day, we are only human...and we do make mistake's. We don't intend to make these mistakes, but as long as we learn from them. When you have a family/children/dogs and a life etc, your mind can sometimes not be up to speed. Finances can be good one minute and then not so good shortly after. In other words, there could be all sorts of valid reasons why the dog couldn't have been "fixed" in time. What gives anyone the right to judge?
We're all here (this site) for exactly the same reasons.......we all love our dogs, and feel VERY strongly about the sadness that goes on. Surely the best way is to live and learn, share our advise and knowledge, without judging someone without knowing their circimstance's or jumping on them for their lack of hindsight. We cannot know everything, immediately. Life is one long learning curve.
I also feel very strongly about certain things, and can have quite strong opinions, but I would never dream of talking in a manner to which I have read on here. Perhaps I was brought up to be more understanding.

I refrained from replying to this post as I Had no first hand experience of keeping dogs seperated. But now I have.
Firstly I would just like to say I have two dogs one male one female, two different breeds. It was very irresponsible of the person to allow these dogs together young children present or not. I am now on day 24 of Kylie's season and not once have my dogs been together for a second, and yes I have two young children.
I don't intend to get either of my dogs "fixed" why fix when it is not broken, I as a responsible owner will make sure my dogs do not produce unwanted puppies.

Hi Snowangel, i have always liked the name Sheeba, shelia, sarsha, and sharnie, i am not sure if they will be any help to you as we ended up naming out rotty bitch belle because in german it means 'gentle giant' and it seemed to fit her well. Good luck with the pet nameing ooh and by the way people do make mistakes, i am a reputable breeder have been for 28 years and it only takes once to slip up to have puppies, but i am glad you are doing the right thing by getting her fixed.
