How old would she be before she can safetly have a litter?

I don't quite understand your post. You title it "Dog a bit too friendly" and then say:-

"i would just like to ask if I keep my staffie bitch away from other dogs"

Why would you want to keep your dog away from other dogs?

What I meant was ..other dogs are a bit too friendly around her ..so should i keep her away from other dogs(in case she got pregnant) ...till she is old enough to have a litter safetly .....the dogs we have contact with are all staffie dogs.

If she's in season then she should be kept away from all other dogs, kept on a lead, and not allowed around ANY other males.

You need to do more research before even contemplating breeding - the rescues are full of unwanted staffies. Please consider this before you go ahead, and learn learn learn.

She can only get pregnant when she is in season. It would be foolish and unkind to keep her away from other dogs until you wanted to have her mated. She needs to mix with other dogs for socialisation and pleasure.

I suggest you buy a copy of "The Book of the Bitch". You will find it very informative.

Do you mean that the bitch is in season? If so certainly you should keep her away from male dogs from when the bleeding starts to at least 21 days, but to be sfer until 28 days when all the external swelling has all gone.

You should get your bitch Hip Scored and eye tested and not mate her until at least 2 years of age if she is of breeding quality.
