How do you decide what your pups are worth ?
Given that every litter seems to increase the price ,what makes you decide that your litter is worth more than the last litter advertised ???

There is a staffie litter advertised on here for £500.00!!! Not Champion parents. Think that is too high but that is just my opinion. The thing is staffies are so popular people will pay it :-(

Well i think that should a pup have super parents and great breeding well fair enough, but there are pups advertised that just seem to cost that little bit morethan the last lot for no reason at all :(

Well as the costs of rearing a litter are going up, KC registrations, food & so on, it has to be reflected in the price of your puppies. In my breed a stud dogs fee is the same price as a puppy so that is how it is set. Some breeds I do feel the prices of pups are hugely inflated because of the breeds popularity. One hound breed is selling for anything between £600-£1000 and they aren't difficult to come across.

the lady we got archie from (mini dachs) was inundated with offers. she is a friend (don't worry proper breeder!) so we got him for £200 but people were begging her to take £900 for the pups. Thankfully she is extremely responsible and protective of her pups and sold them to godd homes for around £300 - £600 but it must be very very tempting for the less scrupulous breeder - that's nearly £5k for the whole litter. even the lady behind the counter at pets at home last night told me i should breed archie to "make lots of money" and started telling me how much she had made from her cockers "accidentally" mating. i found it quite disgusting actually - if she is telling customers this then who knows what other advice she is dishing out. sorry to digress a bit but it really annoyed me!
