A bitch of mine has developed a cough which he vet said to treat with kefalexin. She is due in 8 days. He says it is better to treat her now or all her pups may die.The treatment is for 7 days so she has 5 days of treatment left.The vet says she will finish the treatment before having them so the milk will be ok. BUT WHAT IF THE PUPS COME EARLY Ive only just thought of it. Do you think she'll be ok?

If I've had to use Anti-biotics for a pregnant bitch I've always used Clavulox.
I know the Cephalexin is not good if it is still present in Mums milk.
