Hi!
I'm new to this forum but have found it to be very informative. After reading all the post about Phantom pregnacy's and false pregnacy's I am more concerned than ever. My female Rottie is two and a half and we just breed her for the first time..... although we considered it a complete failure. Well a few days ago we really noticed some changes occuring. She will not interact with the family, will go straight to her Kennel/bed and stay there, will hardly eat.... she is leaking milk and her vulva has enlarged. She has put on some weight but I had put her on a special diet that I prepared myself so I thought it was the change in food. I feel like a bad mom because I was so caught off guard, now I don't know if this is a phanthom pregnacy or if she is really going to have pups. I am however taking her to the vet tomorrow if nothing occurs tonight. Any advice or help would be great!

What date was she mated?

She was mated the last couple of days in April. Was up all night keeping an eye on her and still nothing has happened. she has started licking herself ALOT though is this normal for her to do if she is pregnant? Still really confused but am calling the vet to take her in this morning!

So if she was pregnant she's due now. Have you felt anything moving in her belly?

No I really haven't felt any movement at all, every once in awhile it looks as if I can see a little movement but very vague not extreme bulges. I talked to the vet and she said that not to worry about not feeling the movement that you don't always feel movement, but to bring her in, in two days if there has been no change or if something happens and she is in immediate danger. She does not appear to be uncomfortable or in any distress, she just stays in her bed and hasn't moved alot, and continues to bath her entire stomach area repeatedly. Hope someone can give me an idea of whether this is a real pregnacy or if it sounds like a phantom or false pregnacy. Thanks!
