Hi, I have a puppy who is 10 mnths old. When i had lucy at 7 wks of age I had to get up with her for about a week through the night. Then in the morning at about 5 am she would bark until I got up to see to her. That went on for about 3 weeks and now she just sits by the kitchen gate and cries quietly until I get up. So I think your pup should grow out of it. A good walk before you put your dog to bed might help.Good luck anyway.
hi my rottie pup is now 14 wks and from six weeks he howled so much my neighbours complain afte about two weeks it ceased then he was ill and was babyed and it started again but after 3 days of hell it is now stopping again we have been keeping to a set routine and compleatly ignoring him when he is whining and it is hard but it does work good luck
i know what you are saying about ignoring her when she crys in the mornings but i dont want to antagonise the whole street as she is kept outside.it is bad enough me getting woken at 5am never mind my neighbours.

I dont mean to sound funny but a ten week old pup out in the yard with a covered roof. My pups always sleep indoors until they are at least a year old then they will go in to a kennel during the day and we take it from there. i would suggest you let you pup sleep in the house at night and maybe she will settle a lot better all the best gwen
the yard is more like an extension to the house,it is completly covered in and is draught proof,so surely there is no difference between her sleeping there and sleeping in the house.

It just seems as though it isn't as soundproof as inside the house would be.
:)
i will give it a try with her sleeping in the house to see what happens, thanks.
