Barbecuing is the only type of cooking a "real" man will do. When a
man volunteers "cook" here is what "really" happens

1) The woman goes to the store.
2) The woman fixes the salad, vegetables, and dessert.
3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along
with the necessary cooking utensils, and takes it to the man, who is
lounging beside the grill, drinking a beer.
4) The man places the meat on the grill.
5) The woman goes inside to set the table and check the vegetables.
6) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is burning.
7) The man takes the meat off the grill and hands it to the woman.
8) The woman prepares the plates and brings them to the table.
9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.
10) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed her "night off."

And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just no
pleasing some women.

Maybe for some people their men are like this :( . I personally look forward to my husband having a day off because he is the one that cooks :). When I say cooks he does everything and I'm usually on here lol. He BQ's in the summer and still cooks in the winter, even does the dishes at times (but I usually end up finishing the mess like clean the counter, wipe the stove :( ), but can't complain cause he still cooks (mind u if he is drinking and has people over he does burn the meat sometimes :( ). He cooks better then I, just wish he could do it every day cause I hate cooking. Would be nice if I could get him to vaccuum, clean the floor, maybe even some laundry or how about the bathroom, doubt that will ever happen, at least he does his own work clothes :D lol.

Guess I'm pretty fortunate and shouldn't complain about him not doing any house chores

ttfn :) sorry for bragging lol

I am lucky to have a lovely husband who does it all !! He has been doing all the washing, cleaning , cooking, walking and feeding the dogs and even has time to give me lots of cuddles !!

I think the mould may well have been broken when he was made :D

Think my hubby came our of the same mould :D
He is great, he works full time and does loads to help me and always sorts the dogs out when he gets in. He finds time for me the kids the dogs and work.
Think we are very lucky Lucy :-)

Mine's a good'un, too. :)

Okay, so the washing machine and iron are too technical, but he can cook well (and wash up!), vacuum (a newly learnt skill - a Dyson is 'manly' enough) and he takes the dogs for a three mile walk in the morning when he comes back from working a 12-hour night shift.

I'm not ready to trade him in yet.

Well after 40 years (long loong years!!) I've decided that I'll not trade mine in for another model - just yet!!!He gets up every morning & mades me a lovely cup of coffee, he's (almost!) houstrained - he deals with the dishwasher, can use the washing machine (as long as I tell him NOT to touch any of the buttons - just use E for Easy) - walks the dogs when it rains, scrubs out the kennels - and, more important - he puts up with me!!

Margot (who married Adrian 40 years ago, going down the aisle, thinking oh well - there's always divorce, as I reminded him on our anniversary :D)
