As some of you are aware, I have just started sending entries off for some shows, but could someone please tell me what it means where you fill in your address, and it says Print Address Yes / No. I am guessing but does this mean do I want my address printed in the catalogue ? and if so what do most people say to this question. Sorry to be so naive !

The choice is only recently offered because of concerns about security and dog thefts. Most people still choose to print their details. The actress Susan George is active in one of my breeds, and she has always used a PO Box number.

When i first entered shows I didnt think twice but now with all the thoughts of thieves it does worry me :(
Why does anyone need to know anyway??

It was always an easy way for people to make contact with the owners of dogs they liked if they maybe wanted a puppy or were looking for a stud dog .People could go to a show see the type of dog they liked look it up in the catalogue and then get contact details for its owner.Saddly it doesn't pay to give your details out so freely these days as then the not so scrupulous can target successful dogs or certain breeds :(

From what you say, I guess it'd be safer NOT to have address printed. Its me being naive again I know, but I never thought about people stealing my dog. At the end of the day, I suppose if anyone is that interested in using my dog at stud, they would see me and ask about it at a show anyway so there is no point really having my address printed. Thanks........I've made my mind up !!

I've put no on all the entries I've made recently, it never bothered me before though.
