Help!!!

Cam's only had a couple of accidents in the house since we got him, which I've cleared up using stain remover stuff. However, yesterday I used biological washing powder solution in warm water on the living room carpet (which is a creamy colour with red flowers) - and the red has run into the cream. It's not terrible but doesn't look great. Is there anything I can do to remove the redness from the cream?

Blimmin' puppies!!!!

There is something that you put in the washing machine to make things go 'back to white'. the wife uses it when she sends my (not so) smalls pink. The other men at the squash club are into 'pink' pants - thank God!

You can buy it at the supermarket. Or you could use Vanish soap! Or buy a rug!!!!! :-)

What about Stain Devils Jo?

Jo

We found that the easiest thing was not to let our pup go into the lounge until she was reliably clean. They don't need to go in for a few weeks or so - they don't know any different, as long as they get plenty of attention in the kitchen or wherever you keep him. As we have a fairly large kitchen we kept ours out for a couple of months to ensure that she didn't chew anything or jump on the sofa etc. When we did let her in she behaved quite well and seemed to enjoy the privilege. Both our dogs only go into the lounge when we are in there.

No specific hints on cleaning carpets - but we do find our steam cleaner useful in removing stains.

Good luck

Hmmm Jo, cream carpet and a puppy:eek: Sorry can't suggest anything but can sympathise. Fortunately we were able to keep Taz out of the living rooms till she was housetrained, didn't take too long, but she stayed in the kitchen which has a wooden floor and was easy to clean up after the odd accident. How is he doing? We took Taz out this afternoon in the fields just behind our garden, we let her off the lead and she had a good run about but was a little reluctant to return to us when called. As the field is secure we weren't too worried, however, eventually after the novelty of the freedom wore off she would come back, sort of, I just kept rewarding her then letting her go again, hopefully she will realise it doesn't always mean freedom over. Of course there were no other distractions but she didn't run away from us, she followed us round the field and didn't go out of sight at any time. We'll get there, eventually:D

Hehe, I know, cream carpet and puppy - not the best combination.

He's only in there when we are and is actually very trustworthy now. The problem is because he's pretty trustworthy we haven't reacted quickly enough when he's needed to go. What ho!

I've been practicing recall with Cam (as much as you can in the house!) and he's ok ... as long as there aren't any distractions. :D When he doesn't come immediately I start walking or running in the opposite direction, whch seems to do the trick. He definitely has a very independent streak though so God knows what the situation will be in 6 months time!

he he he Jo just read about your post about recal & distraction. let me tell you what a pup is like at 5 months. at present he is sat next to me his head on the keyboard (yes his head is as high as the keyboard and he is sitting)whilst he constantly chomps on a tennis ball that has a hole in it and makes a popping noise then a noise rather like the passing of dobes wind. that silent one..
there is more but I shouldnt say to much more Ill let you enjoy the surprises all by yourself. However dont dispear your not alone. .... In space no one hears you scream............

:D Jacky
I left Taz in the kitchen for 2 minutes when I went to answer the door, when I returned she was stood on the kitchen table. It was so funny really, this huge dog just standing on the table like she was supposed to be there. Fortunately there wasn't a single thing on it:D and no thats not because she had eaten it all before I got back:D I now have to remember to make sure all the chairs are pushed right in. I bet Sydney is very big now, is he giving you the run around yet, or has he always done that:D Is he any better in the car now or does he still slobber all over? Dobes, huh, don't ya just luv em?
