Looking at an Open show schedule which class should I enter my 6 month old Boxer:
Any Variety Minor Puppy Dog
Any Working Puppy
or Boxer Junior (there are only 3 Boxer classes)
or would a combination of these be ok???

Thanx
Dexy

If there is a Boxer puppy class then enter him in that, junior might be a bit strong for him at 6mths. Any of the other two variety classes would be ok, except age wise the minor puppy would be more suitable.

Theres no Boxer puppy class only Junior...etc Don't think there will be great numbers for the turn out of Boxers and thats why theres no Puppy class. Is it wise to enter both AV Minor Puppy Dog and Working Puppy?

I would enter both variety classes, and the lowest (youngest )Boxer class. The mixed classes are great experience with other breeds, and probably a bigger class.

If you should get Best Puppy in Breed, and the judgte that is doing the Group is not one of the ones doing the variety classes, then you may wish to withdraw from them in order to stay unbeated to compete in Puppy Group/Best Puppy in Show.

When you say both variety classes - is that Working puppy and AV Minor Puppy Dog as well as Boxer Junior? I must admit I was thinking of doing all 3 but I don't know what to do for best as I haven't showed before! I'm sure its the same judge for all the 3 classes.

Yes I meant all three. It is good experience, as there are likely only to be a few in the boxer Junior say around half a dozen. there may be more in the other classes, and by the time he has done all three he should be getting the hang of things, and really starting to show and enjoy himself.

Also it is nice to seee how you do against different types of opposition.

I'd do the Boxer junior class and then the AV minor puppy one, I am sure that would be enough for the first outing!!! Good luck and keep us posted:D
