I have a 2 year-old Bichon that I adopted about 6 month ago he was believed to be a stray for a while when I got Fluffy he was in terrible matted state with eye infections. All has been corrected however, he is constantly taking any oportunity to run away he has done this twice we have tried training classes he "comes" when called in the house or yard but once he slips past a cracked door or gate it is all over...but time he got out previously he was gone overnight thank goodness for good people bringing him home (info from tags) but since we live in a city with busy streets we are so scared that one time he may get out and possible get hit by a car. We have baby gates up in the house but once in awhile someone may forget and leave one open and that is all it takes for Fluffy! Help!

What sort of help are you looking for?

Get more secure gates?

Maybe get the dog neutered (though that is no guarantee that will stop him roaming) ?

Make SURE people don't leave doors open?
