i want to know if there is a prevention food supplement for elbow and hips dispasia, is glocusamine considered as one? and how much supplement intake should i give my dog? what are the foods or supplement can i give my dog to maintain a good and healthy kidney and liver?

any information or help will be appriciated, more power to your network.

If you are feeding a well balanced diet, I know, not that easy, then the feeding of supplements should not be needed. As far as HD is concerened I think the cast is set in the womb and there is nothing you can do about it. Relax and enjoy your dog, feed it well, see the vet if you think it is ayling otherwise love it, enjoy it, and reap the rewards.

I WAS TOLD FIVE YEARS OLD WHEN I BOUGHT MY FLATCOAT FROM THE BREEDER TO GIVE VIT C 500GM UP TO 6 MONTHS THEN 1000GM A DAY,I HAVE A CUTTING ABOUT DOGS GROWTH AND VIT C,HOW GOOD IT IS, I TRY FIND IT AND POST IT LATER.,ALL MY DOGS ARE ON VIT C FROM 8 WEEKS,I HAVE FIVE DOGS,ONLY ONE WITH A PROBLAM WHICH HE WAS HIT BY 2 CARS AT 18 MONTHS,HE WAS VERY LUCKLY AT THE TIME NO CUTS OR BROKEN BONES,BUT IT HAS COME OUT NOW WITH AGE,IN HIS JOINTS,AT 6 YEARS OLD, THE OTHER DOGS ALL GOT VERY GOOD HIP SCORES,IT COULD BE VIT C OR GENTICS,

A warning about large doses of vitamin C. In humans it has been linked to an increase of their chances of developing cancer the same may be true in dogs. Everything in moderation I say.

the dogs have been on it from 8 weeks they are 6,5,4,2.years old with no side effects.i do agree with you about everything in moderation,beacuse where i work in one of the top health club,you can see what to much of one and too little of another can result in,
