Hi,
Does anybody know if these dogs are bred in the UK?, and if so could you please point me in the right direction for Finding breeders?
I have tried looking everywhere I can think of, all of the websites/rings seem to be US/Canada related.

Thanks

Dean

Welcome to the forum Dean :-)

I know a gentleman who has bought a couple into the UK from France to work. I'm not sure if he intends to breed them though. I will make some enquiries for you.

Dean, I had this reply from Mark:

"...I have had a lot of enquires about Griffons and their availability, but as far as I know there are still no others in the country. I hope to breed from mine but it wont be for a couple of years. The best source for information is the Internet. If they would like more information, they are welcome to get in touch with me."

If you would like Mark's email let me know :-)

Thanks v much Leigh, I suspected this may be the case. If it really is going to be nigh on impossible we are thinking of a GWP instead. If i could have Marks Email, that would be great, as I would like to keep in touch if any more info does become available. Thanks again.

Email details on their way. I think the GWP is the next best thing :-) Give me a shout if you need any personal recommendations in that direction. Good Luck. Leigh

Thanks, I thought they were next best thing as well!.
We have spoken to Bareve who have a pup at the moment, do you know them?
- By Leigh [us] Date 04.01.02 10:13 UTC
Yes, I know Sharon :-) Nice litter. Are you looking to work your puppy?
- By dean [gb] Date 04.01.02 12:38 UTC
potentially at some point, yes, although first and foremost it will be a family pet. It will be our first GWP, so the priority will be on training it correctly and learning as we go. I have had experience with setters and GSDs and from what i've read so far it will be a very different experience!.

They're a lot of fun,as long as you get the basic's in :D Depending on where you are based, check out the GSP Club for training classes.

thats great thanks, we are based in herts/bucks so shouldnt be too much of a problem finding somewhere reasonably near.

Dean.... have you thought about a Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer?
- By dean [gb] Date 07.01.02 15:05 UTC
Now you are confusing me!. I'd never have dreamed there were so many wire/rough haired pointer type breeds out there before we started thinking about getting one (they are all lovely though). We went to see a smashing GWP pup at the weekend, and are arranging to try to give her a home her in the very near future. Thanks for all your help/comments...Dean
