My boyfriend and I have a 4 month old puppy who needs to get used to other puppies and dogs (she's very excitable), but we're unable to take her to regular classes due to work patterns. Does anyone in the Northampton area know of puppy spocialising classes that are on a weekend?

Are you unable to take pup in the evening ? Even every other week would be better than nothing :)
Try asking at your vets if they know of anybody - even if they dont know of any classes they may know of a group of people in a similair situation and you may be able to all meet up somewhere .

Hello, I live in Northampton and have been taking my VERY exciteable Labrador to obedience courses in Milton Malsor. The name is Walkies School for dogs, www.walkiedogservice.co.uk They are very good and have lessons in the evening, not sure about weekends though.
Where abouts are do you take your dog? Perhaps we could stick our two pups in a field together and let them go mad with each other!!!!

I live in Northampton and know of classes in Moulton & Cogenhoe. Both classes are in the evening, though.
There's also gundog training at St James but also an evening class.

We cant let her off near little dogs cos she gets too much and just squashes them to a pulp!!!

We walk her everywhere and are always looking for other dogs for her to burn off some energy with
AM happy to meet up anywhere really as long as its safe for her to be off the lead

It would be great to meet up. We're based in The Mounts and take Dixie over the racecourse on a daily basis, but all over the place whenever we get the opportunity so am flexible about location. She's a Staffie/GSD cross just about to turn 5 months who really wants to play with other dogs, but unfortunately they often don't want to know as she goes absolutely bonkers when she sees them. She's more than capable of holding her own (she was playing with a 1 year old GSD/Lercher cross the other weekend!!) so size shouldn't be too much of an issue.
