My family have never owned a dog and I was searching the net for "the perfect dog" for us. Our favoured breed was a Schnoodle, which I believe is a schnauzer/poodle cross. Is this purely an American bred cross? Does anyone know anywhere in the UK we could get a schnoodle puppy?

Thanks for any help.

surely there must be a pure bred breed that suits your lifestyle, without encouraging yet more mongrel pups to be bred?

Hi
I have a litter of poodle pups that are really adoreable.
I havent read or seen anything about your breed, however I do know that they cross poodles with labs to ideally for guide dogs for the needy with allergies.Even this is a little frowned upon, afterall it is still a crossbred dog (not that I have anything against crossbreds)why are you looking for that cross?
Are there family health problems you need think about, how about size space etc.
I would advise you to rethink and find out what you are looking for in a dog and what you can offer the dog.I wish you the best of luck and let us know what you decide on.

Can I ask why the Schnoodle cross was "the perfect dog"? Does someone have allergies, is it the size of the dog etc. I am sure that there are a number of pedigree breeds which cover these areas.

I have not heard of any in this country but I wish you luck in finding your perfect dog and you won't know whats hit you when you get your loving bundle of fluff, i couldn't do without mine!!
