i am getting an akita pup today at 8 weeks old but i will only have it untill the 6 of july which is when i go on holidays for 2 weeks.for the 2 weeks when i am away the breeder is taking the pup back to look after it for me.i was wondering if this would upset or confuse the pup in any way.

when we first bought our bullmastiff, we were in the same situation, he went back after 2 weeks while we were on holiday, we felt awful and i did worry. but when we got home and our breeder brought him home to us, he was fine, very happy to see us and no worse for the experience.
Though i will warn you things did change that day, because she also brough over his litter brother for the ride.....he hadn't got a home and my husband couldn't let him go...needless to say he ended up stay with us....so we got an extra holiday home coming present!!!!

P.s It's now over 4 years ago and the two boys have never been apart and we don't regret a thing.
