Topic Dog Boards / Health / ? just the hot weather
- By budmag [gb] Date 17.06.03 10:45 UTC
Hello everyone.
Was wondering if any of you readers are having similar problems with your 4 legged friends.
My bundle of joy (Buddy) has not been eating as well for the last few days, although he's had some but less quantity. The last 2 mornings he's had small creamy/frothy vomits. To say the weather is so hot he does not drink as much as i thought he would or should. Our walks are not as long due to the heat but seems to enjoy them as much as ever. Do you thinks it's down to the heat ? cause i know it's killing me.
I'm never satisfied.

Yes - the same here. My older dog usually charges around like a lunatic - but during this hot weather he doesn't even want to chase his ball - just picks it up and walks in the opposite direction :) I always cut his food down in hot weather as he will put weight on if I don't.

Budmag,

I had a Boston Terrier years ago who used to throw up white frothy stuff in the Summer. The vet diagnosed it as an allergic reaction to pollen.

Hot, humid days dogs should slow down a little and their appetite may be off.

Buddy may also have a touch of gastritis. Try him on chicken and rice for a couple of days and see if stops vomiting. If he does not, suggest a trip to the vet.

Thanks for replies.
Buddy has been ok last few days which has coincided with weather being a touch cooler.

I was wondering the same thing

Darcy wouldnt touch her breakfast this morning though (which for her is nothing short of a miracle)

her tummy was very gurgly as well!!!!!!!

so not convinced it is just the weather.

She seems a bit less energetic but again put it down to the weather.

Should I taker her to the vets or am I just being paranoid???????
