Topic Dog Boards / General / Puppy Farming - a reply from ITV
- By Carla Date 18.06.03 16:18 UTC
Here's what I got back - who is the best person to call this guy please... I don't know enough about the subject!! Help!!

Thanks for the note about puppy farms. Steve Anderson has passed it to me as ITV News reporter. I have quite a background in this subject, having spent five weeks undercover filming for "Thats Life" (BBC) in the early 90s!

Will you give me a call when you get a moment so we can discuss it.

Tel:

Chris Choi

There are several people interested in puppy farming, if you e-mail adogslife@ntlworld.com I will give you my phone number. Interesting you should be in the midlands - quite a lot going on there, I can probably put you in touch with other concerned people.

Pat and Mayhem - perhaps the best thing to do is to get in contact with the woman who's organising the campaign, I don't know her but Frankie B is in contact with her and she's obviously motivated. She will need as any contacts with details and information as possible I'd have thought and personally think that if as many of us get together as possible and pool out information and different talents the better, you can break a stick but its a lot harded to break a tree.

Hi, I have to say that I don't know a huge amount about it, only what I have read here and on another site and was, frankly, appalled. I have some contacts in the media, specifically ITV and some other luvvies... so I can get to people on the back of other people recommending me :) Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!! ;)

Thanks Pat - I have included your link on my email back to him, would be great if you could give him a call. Have also asked Viv of All Creatures Great and Small to call him too - he won't mind, and far better for him to get a couple of passionate responses!! Will email you with the number

Great news - the Dog World paper has it on the front page about Welsh puppy Farmers proposals condemned and continued inside the paper.

Hello Chloe, before we release information on this subject would you please confirm that this it is for an independent programme and not one commissioned by NCDL that is pending
- By Carla Date 20.06.03 11:56 UTC
I don't know - I just got hold of the right person at ITV... what they choose to do with it now is up to them...but as far as I am concerned it will be for an entirely independent programme. You will need to speak to Pat who is going to call Chris - I believe Viv from ACGAS has spoken to him and passed him onto someone with a lot of experience of puppy farms...from there, I'm out of it I'm afraid.. :)
- By mayhem [gb] Date 20.06.03 12:30 UTC
Thank you Chloe, Chris contacted me yesterday via Viv.
- By Carla Date 20.06.03 12:35 UTC
Excellent - will you keep me posted... only I would like to give him a push too if he looks like wavering.... you can email me here if it helps :)

I have the address of a confirmed puppy farmer in west yorkshire. I was appalled to hear she was breeding a bitch with her father!
- By pat [gb] Date 19.06.03 21:50 UTC
It would be helpful if you could please email me privately with the details, thank -you.
