Hi
You can't take unentered dogs .The only way to take a dog that you're not showing is to 'enter' it as not for competition when you send in your other dogs entry. The dog would then be benched with dogs of the same breed. So if you are showing a lab for example and want to take a cocker as not for competition your dos would be benched seperately.
Some champ shows have a tent outside for dogs that are not entered but they are not allowed within the show ground.
Hope this helps.
Good luck at B'Pool-is it your first show? What breed is your dog

We are thinking of going on Friday, just to have a look. Do you know what time it will be finishing about as I have got work from 9:00 until 2:00 ?

Hi
no guarantee what time things will finish-depends on how long judging takes.I would think you've got to be looking at late PM.What breed are you interested in-could tell you when they're in the ring. We're (elkhounds) are 2nd in the ring behind wolfhounds(saturday) so probably won't get judged till well after midday at least even though judging starts at 9:30

Hi we were wanting to see the terriers. We are getting a Welsh Terrier next week so we thought we would go to the show to have a look as it is only about 3 miles away from were we stay.

Welsh Terriers are 3rd in the ring so will be in well into the afternoon.Unfortunately means they will be quite late finishing too unless the judges are rocket propelled!!LOL
