Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Snorting whippet ...?!
- By guest [gb] Date 18.06.03 09:10 UTC
Our young whippet found & ate a disgusting decomposed hare whilst we were in the woods last night. He promptly threw it straight back up but ever since has been snorting & gulping ...... he's obviously in no pain & is eating & running around as normal, but every few minutes he has to stop to make this snorting/gulping noise. We're going to leave him a couple of days & will then take him to the vet but in the meantime does anyone have any tips/tricks to help him dislodge whatever's irritating him? Thanks!

If he is struggling then I would get him to the vets sooner rather than later. If it was decomposing and it sits inside your dog it could cause an infection plus it's not fair to leave a dog in an incomfortable situation.
