Just to let people know i have phoned an advert on a free ads site & the people have miniture schnauzers they have KC reg litters £450 & non KC reg litters £300?
Why if a responsible breeder would they have unregistered litters? They have 6 litters to choose from & are in castleford west yorkshire.
Could this be a puppy farm at all? i do not want to buy one from them now as i didn't like the idea of some dogs registered others not makes me wonder why. Paul.

hello this is paul now registered and online:D:
I am fedup of looking for a good miniature schnauzer all are either not very good rubbish pedigree or prices over £600.
Seems like i may well be paying £600+ as at least they are from good lines and aren't bred from like machines.
My friend has been in touch with somone in cumbria but she only keeps males & said she will be intouch if she knows of anyone with a litter. her dogs are very well bred so i hope maybe to get a puppy dog that is sired by one of her studs. she has a website but karen wrote down the wrong address maybe she is listed on this site somewhere:confused: will have a look now in your search area.
thanks for all yer advice i can't justify spending money like that on something that may be very falsely registered, my money dosen't grow on trees or on dogs in their case. i do hope to start showing so will probably be asking how to do the fancy hairdo:D:
c ya paul.

If not actually a puppy farm they are a commercial breeder at the very least. This would tend to mean that they have little interest in breeding for the betterment of the breed (especially as they are breeding and selling unregistered stcok), but purely for a market. It would also make me more wary of the registered pups and whether their papers were correct.

Your best bet is a specialist hobby breeder. this sort of breeder will normally have only a litter or three a year, depending on how many lines or breeds they are woeking with. a proud breeder would be wanting to show you photos of their other dogs, there would be rosettes and trophies around won at shows, and they will seem to live and breathe their breed. they will tell you about what clubs for the bred you can join etc. In other words they are producing puppies as part of their hobby, and not purely producing pups as a product that is in demand.

To buy a dog from a source about which you have suspicions would be madness. Why have they got dogs which are not registered? Why not research the breeders in the breed you have an interest in, find one you can feel confidence in and put yourself on a waiting list. If you buy a pup from these dubious sources then financially you are supporting the possibility that the bitch may even be in her first season, will be breed from everyone therein until there's nothing left of her and then, chucked out or a bullet put through her skull. When buying a dog you are either part of the solution or part of the problem - I know that's harsh but it's also the truth.

Hi
I would get advice from a well known source as others have said.
If these are the same people that l have heard about, and l think they are they also breed yorkies, and poodles.
Good luck with your search.
