Hi my name is carol i own three lovely bulldogs, one of my females recently had a litter of pups they are now nine weeks old.
I was very careful when choosing homes for them or so i thought, a little boy went to a family in swindon there names are tony and louise smith, they collected him on 07 june 2003 everything seemed fine i was so happy he was going to have a lovely home, on monday the 09 of june i phoned louise to see how he was she replied everything is fine we love him to bits, i said i wouldnt pester her to much so i would ring in a few weeks to check he was ok.
I have just found out she advertised him for sale on the 11 june 2003, and sold him on 14 june 2003 i am extremely annoyed and upset about this, she never gave me the chance to buy him back and find him a nice home, so i havnt got a clue where he is now,if anyone knows of anyone who has recently purchased a bulldog puppy, he is white with one fawn spot on his back, his kennel club name is baldwin my brave friend, although the kennel club put his name has bladwin not baldwin, i didnt have a chance to change it, has he was off to his new home, his parents kennel club names are mymozo mystiana music, and chequers choice, so please can anyone help me trace him i am anxious to know he is safe.
hoping for some news thank you carol

Maybe put an add in the Thames Valley FreeAdds?
As maybe that's where he was advertised? (Just a stab in the dark as it's normally out on a wednesday)
Then hopefully his new owners will contact you.
I don't think it will cost you anything to advertise in the FreeAdds for info about him.

So sorry to hear this. Why not try the local radio in the area you sold the puppy, they can be helpful. Search on all the free ads such as exchange and Mart, Loot. friday ads, there is another it was Diamond Free Ads but has changed its name, availble in the South East. Place ads in papers for info too.
Hope you find success.

will the kennel club not help in such situations?
- By carol [gb] Date 16.06.03 10:59 UTC

Hi Carol

I like in Swindon, But do not know any one who has just got a new bulldog pup. I will keep my eyes out.

Have you asked the people who sold it if they know where the people they sold it to live. Didnt they take any info?

If the KC forget to ring you :-( then you will see the change of ownership details in the KC Breed Supplement - hopefully they will do the change of ownership :-)

I have emailed you about this pup...did you get the email yet?
- By carol [gb] Date 16.06.03 16:10 UTC
Hi Carolyn
sorry have not recieved your email at all but would be very grateful for any information you have
- By carol [gb] Date 16.06.03 16:39 UTC
I have tried getting information from this louise about where the puppy has gone, but so far she will not tell me anything, the reason for that i think. is because i told her how discusted i was that she only kept him for a few days then sold him without letting me know.when she collected the puppy i stated clearly any problems ring me. i would have given her the money back and found him a decent home,i dread to think what she has told the people that own him now, more lies i shoud imagine. I dont care how long it takes. i will find out where he is.

If you email me direct i will forward the info on

hi Carol, i had a message on my mobile fone from louise asking if i would like to buy him, unfortunately i didnt have the cash. I have a wanted ad on ad-mart uk and thats where she had my number from, there are a few ads on there you could try getting in touch with them? She also advertised him on there. she did say that she was selling him due to her little boy being allergic. i dont know if thats any help?

So sorry to hear this Carol, you must be devastated I know I would be.

Might be worth a call round the local vets in Swindon area, he will have to have his vaccinations and they may be able to help you when they know what has happened. Even if it is only to ask the new owners to get in touch with you.

Best of Luck

Jayne

I received an email from louise at five thirty this evening stating she has made mistakes with this puppy, and she didnt think to ring me so i could buy him back, i have asked her to put these mistakes right by telling me where he is now, so i can at least find out if he is safe and well, but no answer yet she just doesnt want to tell, me that makes me worry even more its so frustrating. Surely if he has gone to a good home she would tell me where, i cant understand what is going on in her head, but thank you all for advice and information its nice to know people care so much.

I had this awful thought, that if she sold him within a few days of buying him, that she did it to make a pfofit :(

It does seem that the breed is being sold for high and quite widely differing sums, and perhaps this had been their plan all along. I cannot imagine just thinking after a few days, ohmust advertise the pup for sale!

I do hope you find out where he has gone. Did you have him Ear Tattooed or Chipped befoer he went, so that should he turn up somewhere you could poditively identify him?
- By carolyn Date 16.06.03 21:28 UTC
I got him offered to me for £800 so i dont think she was gaining anything

Brilliant news everyone my husband rang louise last night and more or less pleaded with her, to give us the the puppys new owners telephone no, she said yes she would let us have it tomorrow, she just emailed me with his no, i have just spoken to him, the only thing that makes me sad is she told lies about us, but not worry at least we can track his progress now, some people dont deserve to have a dog, so i would just like to say a big thank you for all your help and information.
- By cooper [gb] Date 18.06.03 08:10 UTC
pleased you found the little fella.hope it works out for the best :-)
- By Lady Dazzle [gb] Date 18.06.03 08:18 UTC
So pleased you have tracked him down Carol.

I hope you can keep in touch with them and keep updated on his progress.

We can all be conned every now and again, so don't blame yourself for any of this, just taske it as a learning experience.

Best wishes

Jayne

yes i can say i have learnt a lesson by this i will make sure it never happens again, i had a long chat to the new owner last night chester seems fine, we are making arrangements for the new owners to come to our house and meet the parents of the puppy, so i am looking foward to that at least i know he is safe now, that makes me happy, thank you all

Carol
its nice to know you are so caring about your pups :D
- By Jackie H [gb] Date 18.06.03 18:52 UTC
Oh, what a relief, I could feel your frustration at not knowing where your baby was. And I am so pleased to know you now know, hope you are pleased with the new owners and that it all turns out for the best.
- By carol [gb] Date 18.06.03 21:38 UTC
Yes it is such a relief, i have found little chester, i have told the new owner anyhow it doesnt work out, i will have him back to rehome him myself, but i must admit they do sound lovely people, chester is thier first bulldog. My last puppy goes to his new home this saturday, he is going to a lady that already has two bulldogs so i am sure he will be happy, but i will really miss him, he will be ten weeks this friday, he follows me everywhere even to bed love him, it will be funny on saturday i can sleep in my own bed, i have stayed downstairs with my bitch four weeks before the pups were due right up to now, yes i adore my bulldogs more than the husband. but i must admit it will be nice to have some time to spend with my other bullies, they have felt a little bit neglected since the pups were born, so i have decided i wont go to my bed untill sunday night then on saturday all three will sleep with me they love it.
