My dog (age 6) is currently suffering from diarrhoea but mainly between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. ! We've had disturbed sleep since Sunday and last night I had to get up four times to let him out. Needless to say I'm feeling really zonked out today.
Could it be something to do with the warm nights, do you think ? In himself he seems fine but if things don't improve it'll have to be a trip to the vets tomorrow.

I would go and get him checked out to be on the safe side. Also take a sample with you in case they want to get it tested. Meanwhile get him on rice and chicken as ythis may well help as well.
Hope he gets better soon.

Thanks, Lucy. I fed him rice and mashed potato yesterday and he was OK last night, didn't ask to be let out at all. I've added a bit of meat to his meal this morning so will see how he gets on today. I can tell he's really hungry though - every so often he goes and sits by his food cupboard with a hopeful look on his face :)

Hopefully he is over the worst ! What breed is he?
Lucy
Teejay is a Lowchen, Lucy.
I've just rung home to check on him and hubby says he's still not right so I'll take him to the vets tonight. Unfortunately Buddy, our other Lowchen, is showing early signs of diarrhoea as well. It never rains but it pours ! :)

Oh dear. Let us know how they both get on. Hopefully it is a bug that will pass.

Just an update, Lucy. Took Teejay to the vet on Thursday. He had an injection and was prescribed some Kaobiotic tablets. He was very sick after the injection but has now recovered and the diarrhoea has stopped, thank goodness. Buddy wasn't so bad and he seems back to normal now.
Hopefully, fingers crossed, we're over the worst :)
