Well no one has mentioned Border Union, are there not many of you on here willing to travel up to Kelso ? Most Champ shows are mentioned quite a bit on here yet I often find the Scottish ones are not so popular :-(

Well I'm chuft cos I won my post grad class :D Results aren't on Fosse Data yet, no doubt will appear tomorrow/Monday  Anyone else have a good day today ? Good luck to anyone going tomorrow :-) Weather was fab :D

Well done Claire!!

:-D :-D

Go to Scotland twice in one year, not when you go the long way like I do. lol

Hi Claire,

Well done to you & Harris! I didn't enter 'cos I'm saving my pennies for Blackpool, Paignton & Windsor! Anyone else going to these?
- By Claire B [gb] Date 14.06.03 21:42 UTC
Thank you everyone!

Yes Lily, going to Blackpool. Are you not chatting tonight ;-)

Well our Import boy won his class, and so did my friends Junior bitch, and a dog I used 2 years ago got his third CC, making him a Champion.
- By Claire B [gb] Date 14.06.03 21:57 UTC
Nice one Brainless. I saw in the catalogue that your import was entered. He has his JW too doesn't he ? Think I saw that in the KC Gazette. You weren't there though I think I remember you saying ? Hope so otherwise I'll feel rude for not looking you up :D
- By Brainless [gb] Date 14.06.03 22:16 UTC
I don't drive, so am limited to the shows I can get lifts for. It is rather nice having someone else do the hard work and traveling though.

He has had 3 BOBs at Champ Shows without CCs, and the Southern Counties entry was better than SKC with tickets! He is 19 months today, and also has half his ShCM points.

Congrats on todays results Barbara.Who was the boy who got his 3rd ticket-was it vikin?

Yes it was. Very pleased for Jean and Roy. Must say that poor Jean has often been so wound up and nervous that it has often adversly affected how the dog showed and projected himself (or rather didn't). When I saw him at Margaret's when I mated Tula he was so confident and sure of himself, wheras at shows with Jean I always felt he was woprrying about what she was stressed about.

I understand that Roy has been handling him at the last few shows, and he has looked better for it.

I always feel sorry for anyone with a dog sitting on two tickets, not knowing if that thir5d will ever come, or as a friend of mine with a Kees bitch who has a CC, and has had 7RCCs on the trot to a wellknown exhibitors bitch.

Did you know that Sally Longs hubby is also a biker. She just got back from biking with her husbvand through Germany, Czech Republic and Austria, and when they got married they had a bikers honour guard, and he wore his leathers :D

hi,
this may sound a silly question, but does judging at Border Union start at 9am? I've lost my schedule , and know that most shows start judging at 10am.
- By Claire B [gb] Date 14.06.03 22:19 UTC
It says that all judging starts at 9am but specific breeds judging times will be printed in the dog press. However, our judging was supposed to start at 9am but didn't actually start until 9.30am. I would get there for the start just to be on the safe side and get a good parking space :-)
- By Dotty [gb] Date 14.06.03 22:23 UTC
Thanks for that Claire. We had decided ot to go at all, then today had second thoughts, so everything is a bit last minute:eek: :)

My girls all decided to come into season at the same time, so I was unable to go, so annoyed because it's such a lovely setting.
- By archer [gb] Date 15.06.03 10:52 UTC
Are the results posted anywhere yet?
- By Brainless [gb] Date 16.06.03 14:44 UTC

I don't suppose anyone who shows Labs on here went to Border Union yesterday? If so please could you fill me in on where the CC's were awarded!!

Thank you
- By slmiddleton [gb] Date 15.06.03 18:59 UTC
I can't help with the results for labs, but I know that http://www.fossedata.com/results/show.asp has last year's results. Maybe in the next few days they will post this years??

Well done everyone on the wins - wasn't the weather fabulous, and on BOTH days!:) I love this show, and hear several people saying that SKC may to moving to this showground soon - anyone heard anything about it? I was a very pround 'Mummy" on Saturday, as my 2 babes, Lilith and Evelyn took 1st and 2nd in Puppy bitch, and Lilith got BPIB. 2 hour drive, but still counts as a local show for us;). Got nowhere with the Pugs on Sunday (although Lewis did get shortlisted in Junior Stakes, 12 months and 2 days old:)) I was delighted that Lewis behaved impeccablly at his first show. Mabel showed wonderfully on the move, and then put on a comedy performance when she should have been "posing" at the end - sitting down right on the base of her tail, legs wide apart, and rolling over backwards!!!!:) :) looked very cute but didnt catch the judges eye for quite the right reason. Both pups thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and loved wearing there new 'chill' coats, never bothered about the heat at all.
bye

Congratulations to all:) I'm at Blackpool next week with Kassie- so good luck to all entered there too:) I had Kassie at a breed and obedience show yesterday- she worked her a**e off and came 2nd- the work was because of the judge though- she ran them on and on and on and on- in that heat too:( I felt so sorry for my poor bitch:( Jane (with Storm)- I met your Mum:D

gwen, was it you in the junior stakes to the right of the judges table if you where sitting at it, next to all the akitas, there was a pug infront of us /????? was that you, ?????
- By gwen [gb] Date 17.06.03 08:21 UTC
Hi Dizzy, well, not quite sure, there were 2 Akitas beside me, and a samoyed on the other side. One other pug in the ring, about opposite us, but dont know what she was standing beside. She was a rather older lady than I am, and was wearing a twed skirt. I was wearing a very bright pink shirt, Lewis (the Pug) was wearing a soppy grin:) . He really, really enjoyed his day out (first Ch show for him, only 2nd show ever inc 1 open show).
bye
Gwen
