Hello, I am wondering if you can help me please. I am looking to purchase a White Canaan Bitch if possible. and I was wondering is it possible for anyone to help find me one. Cost is no problem for the right dog
I live in the Lake District in the U. K and I am wanting to own one to be a friend and walking companion as I have recently lost my German Shepherd after 14 great years with him, and I know this breed of dog would be suitable to me and my family, and me being suitable to her I hope loll.
I live in a small Georgian town called Whitehaven, I am married to Colette, and have a son called Kyle who is just leaving school this year and joining the Marines, & have a daughter Adele who is at university.
We have been thinking about getting a new friend now since Solo died 14 months ago, and we feel we are now ready to add a new member to our family, we have had 2 dogs in mind for the last 6 months, The Hungarian Vizslas & The Canaan Dog, After plenty of research on the dog's it was a close decision, but we feel the Canaan fit's our way of life, and would like to offer one to become a member of our home, We live in our own home, with a very large back garden 40 x 15 meters, with a 7 ft stone wall around the garden. Both me and my wife work, the wife in Local Government as a Human Resource Manager, and myself from home.
The dog would be welled looked after and would live in the house, probably sleep in our room like the old boy Solo use to loll, he would be guaranteed 3 walks a day, every day of at least 45 minuets each, even though the dog would be content to laze around the house by what I have read.
Our local vet is only 5 minuets walk from us, and health insurance would be taking out on the dog.
The dog would be named Twizler!
Please can you help.
The dog does not have to be white, but it would be nice.
I am thinking of going abroad to find one of these dogs if I can't find one within the U. K, any advice that could be giving to me on this subject of going abroad to find a Canaan would be gratefully received.

Try Jill Terry of Babrees http://www.babrees.co.uk - they have a new litter. I have no idea if they are all spoken for but she is a reliable breeder. You should of course expect to be interrogated! :-)
