My name is Jaclyn. I just got a little puppy, of course its like a golden. The girl that we got him from said that he was a purbred. We think he's part lab. All golden pups have lots of fur wright? Well ours doesn't. You can see the difference from a lab but he just doesn't look like a golden. What should I do?
Help if you can. Thank you for your time,
*Jaclyn*

hi jaclyn

dont know much about goldens but if you have a pedigree certificate and kc papers its the closest thing that you get to a guarantee.

why not join the forum so you can give more details to more experienced members:)

Hello Guest, I have a goldie he is 2 now and he has a lovely long coat, but when he was a puppy his coat was very short alot like a Lab. you will probably find that his tail will start to feather out first before his coat on his body comes out also they get feathering down the backs of their legs. Hope this helps :)

Hi Jaclyn,
I too have a golden, he's 6 now. But when he was a baby, he was very, very pale and had soft downy hair but he didn't start to feather out as Mason says until he was a few months older. But if you have all his papers and documents, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just enjoy your puppy .... you'll be picking up those pesky dog hairs soon enough :)
