Topic Dog Boards / Health / Creaky Knee in pup

My 7 month old pharaoh has a slight creak in one of his knees, he is growing really quickly and has gone all gangly :-). He seems to slightly favour his other leg. I feed him pro-plan puppy large breed (i.e for dogs when fully grown over 25kg) and currently he is about 23kg. As I say it is only very slight but once the paranoia sets in one does start to worry that there is something seriously wrong :(
Hope someone can put my mind at rest

Think I would be talking to your pups breeder. It could be something or nothing, but I would keep him a quiet as pos until you know what is causing the sound.

Thanks Jackie, I spoke to his breeder last night about his leg but forgot to mention the creaking :(. Ive restricted his exercise for the past few days to the garden and it seems to be improving. Hopefully it is nothing serious and he is on the mend.

I would suggest consulting a vet aswell, rest does wonders but as soon as you take them for a run it will probably start again. Also oil capsules is good for joints, put into the food or in his mouth.
