My cairn is 9 years old. It is a male. Recently it has developed a black patch about 10cms square on its back at the base of its tail causing it to lose its hair. It appears to be slowly spreading. The Vet has been unable to to solve the problem. But it does not seem to worry the dog as his behaviour is quite normal. Has anyone experienced this and can offer a cure? I say to most try hibiscrub wash a few times avaliable at the chemist as this cures most things.
