Hi
I had the problem with the German shepards that couldn't penetrate each other. I didn't manage to successfully mate them this time how ever i am going to try again next time the bitch is in season. Since i have tried and failed an experienced breeder has told me that you can use KY jelly to help ease the situation along, is this true?
Both dogs are Maidens.

P.s Thanks to everyone who replied about the penetration problem it was very helpful

Yep, KY's harmless and can be very helpful. Most stud dog owners have some 'just in case'!
:)

yes i use it on my stud and the bitchs when they are mated.good luck.

Does it not have a spermicide in it? Could that not affect the result?

No, I've just checked the tube in the dogs' 'medicine chest'. No spermicide, and it specifically states it isn't a contraceptive.

Wasn't it in the dogs bedside cabinet JG? Next to the furry handcuffs and Ann Summers catalogue? :D

Under the copy of "Playpup", Chloe!! ;)

Yes it does have spermicide property's in it. You would be better using vaseline instead.

Not true Ace - it's just a lubricant & is more hygenic than vaseline as you can squeeze out how much you want without having to touch the remaining contents of the tube :-)

hi!!....there are other reasons that dogs can't get locked up.you need to take her and have a vet do a digital exam.the can have tissue blocking the opening.
