I have 2 staffs one dog (jake) who is 3 and(ruby) who is 15 months old and due for her 2nd season soon. I am thinking of breeding but not to sure if ruby is to young should I leave another season, the vet seems to think she is ready at her 2nd season but would rather have some info from a breeder of staffy's

Hi Nicola,
I don't breed staffys, but most bitches (unless they are a fast-maturing toy breed) shouldn't be mated until after their second birthday.

With Staffys i would say never before 18 months and preferably 2 years :)
