can anybody help. looking for a yellow bitch lab to buy. must be registered. with hip and eye score. in the hampshire area please.would like to use her as a show dog. then later to breed from.thanks for any info from jayne. email address jaynemccartney@aol.com

Just because you show a dog does not mean it's suitable to breed from her. Look at some of the postings on breeding; also there are lots of homeless pups out there. Please think carefully; I'm sure you wouldn't want to add to the numbers :(

You need a top class specimen to show/breed and its very hard to get one you need to write to some well known breeders and go on their list for a show quality puppy and be prepared to wait,the classes at champ shows of labs are massive only the best will be placed its costly and time consuming and classes of 35 + puppies at times
I would suggest joing a Breed club ie: The labrador retreiver club you will need proposer and seconder get a year book and the breeders are in there together with photos of their dogs,go to some shows meet people and study the breed.
There are around 34.000 labs a year registered its the most numerically high breed
