Hi everyone,

I'm going to be picking up my boxer pup soon and will hopefully be showing her when she's old enough. I know that smooth coated breeds like the boxer do not need a lot of preparation for the show ring but they must need something in the way of removing dead hair? What does everyone use for brushing their short coated breeds? I would think something pretty soft would be best, is that right?

Thanks,
Jen :) and Lolly the boxer (5 weeks to go!)

Hi, I used a Zoom Groom which you can get it you local pet shop. Its made of rubber and has rubber teeth. I have used one on my Pharaoh Hound and my Dobe when she was alive. Make sure you do it outside :)

Ditto, Clair! A Zoom Groom works wonders with my dals. Clouds and clouds of white hair all over the lawn. Better out than in! ;)

After using the zoom groom or one of those rubber mittens with raised bumps ,run over your dogs coat with a chamios(sp?)-good for a nice shine
