I have a Springer Spaniel/Lab Cross who is approximately one and a half years old. She used to be on a regular food for puppies but the other dog that was in the house that she was living in had gained alot of weight. The caretakers started giving both the dogs a low ash diet food to lessen the weight gain and promote energy for the older dog but now the spaniel/lab is extremely hyper and always craving attention. What I need to know is what is the best type of dog food to be giving my pup/dog and could the low ash food be making her hyper active? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

The lower the ash content of food, the better the food is.
So yes this food could be making your dog hyper, try it on Dr John silver (18% protien)
