Anyone else going?
Archer

I'll be there in spirit with Treena showing our boy :D
Are you coming to the Houndshow, as that is the farthest North I go?

I'l hopefully be there with the Pei's if my fractured ankle has mended in time.:-(

Making a decision in the next couple of days about Houndshow-so maybe!!Uts a toss up between Houndshow and Birmingham city unless I can persuade the other half to do both!!!(ever hopeful)
Didn't know if your lad would be at B'pool since isn't the judge the mum of one of the co-owners....being a novice still didn't know what the 'ethics' would be in a situation like that.Know you can't show a dog under its breeder but not that good at other 'unwritten' do's and don'ts!!!Sure I'll learn in time LOL
See you at Houndshow hopefully!!!!
Nikki

As the co-owner has only seen the dog a few times (living a long way from where he lives), and she does not live with her mum, and it is a non CC show we didn't consider it a problem, and there is no thing in the KC rules to prevent it. After all plenty of people show under the stud dog owner where there is more of a link to the judge.
I have heard of someone showing under their sister at a CC show, and it would seem this is not against rules.

There you learn something new every day!!! LOL .As I said not up to date with showing politics so its always nice to learn. What class is he in now-P.Grad???-should be in with my older lad if he is,who won't give him any competition since both my boys are far from at their best-kas is blowing coat and will probably be at his worst at Blackpool and Asa is out of coat and has scarred eyelids from the couple of days he was in kennels (looks like hes been 10 rounds with mike Tyson!!!)and a bald patch on his neck from a bite he got there aswell(doesn't show too bad aslong as the judge doesn't 'root round' too much!!), so just going for the day out! Don't get to that many so we're going anyway.
Nikki.
Hi Archer,
We will be there with the aussies, who are dreadfully out of coat, but we are going anyway.......... that is unless Miss Scarlett decides to come into season early, then in which case it will be just be Bubba....
Gabby has just been spayed and she has had a couple of problems with her recovery, so I will probably leave her at home.
This will be my first Champ Show too, although I am not sure whether I will be taking them in, or my friend, (she has much more confidence) :-D !!!!!!!!
How are the ''boys'' doing??
Hope they are ok,
Gabrielle and the gang x

Hi Gabrielle
nice to 'speak' to you again. How was your trip?
The boys are fine if a little mothy and Asa being a bit battle scarred.
I'm sure you'll love it at Blackpool-it was my first show of any description with my Elks 2 years ago.I always do Leeds.Manchester and B'pool and will probably make Driffield a regular aswell(weny last year and loved it despite the rain).I'm trying to do Houndshow or Birmingham city in August but not decided which yet-might try to do both but will probably opt for Hound if I can't.And then there's crufts of course-went for the first time this year and will be going again next. Why not give it a go yourself-I still get butterflies and feel really nervous but I wouldn't miss that feeling of being 'in there' for the world. For the first year we were last every time and I still loved it-sad or what!
Put a definate booking on my next pup today-soooo excited and its not even a twinkle in its mummies eye yet!!But I'd sort of set my heart on a pup from this bitch and am over the moon by her planed suitor!!I want to go to sleep and wake up in about 6 months time.
Hope Gabby is feeling better soon-hope the problems weren't too serious.
Are you doing the 2 Bolton shows?Did Bolton Town last year-Fantastic!! Outdoor,2 day open with good rings, loads of room and judged on a group system.Kas got Puppy group 2 there last year(his first ever show). Did Bolton CS year before-not bad either.
Hope to see you soon.Good luck at B'pool-let us know how you do.
Nikki.
Hi Archer,
Our trip was fantastic, we had a brilliant time, so much so, I fell ''big time'' for two aussies. now just have to see whether I can maybe get one of them over !!!!!!!! :-D
Gabby has a bladder infection and a huge ball of fluid around her stitches, is on antibiotics and has been in and out of the vets in the last week. She is a lot better in herself today though. I have been so worried about her.......
You know me, I am a coward........ I know I could take them in at Blackpool, but if I do it wrong, I feel all eyes will be on me, (I know they won't, but that is just me).
Would love to do the Bolton Shows, haven't got the schedules though, will have to pick them up at Three Counties if there are any, am going to watch me best buddy Jayne with Lorenzo and Groucho :-D
What is your next puppy going to be?? Another elkhound??
Good Luck for Blackpool, and hope to see you soon.

Glad Gabbys feeling better -it must have been very worrying. If she's feeling better in herself hopefully shes turned a corner and is on the up!Fingers crossed.
Glad your trip went well-I was going to ask if you'd bought anything back!!...wouldn't they fit inside your jumper LOL.Weren't red trys were they!
As for my next pup -yes its an elkie. Can't wait.
Maybe see you in August then!
Will be looking out for you on Highampress -sure you'll do great.
Nikki.

Well at Southern counties he was losing plenty of coat so is likely to be in the same boat. He is in Post Grad, as he has just come out of Junior. He wil be 19 months on the 14th after 3 Counties.
His pups at Treenas are gorgeous.
We'll be at both Blackpool and Houndshow with Savannah (Aphrael Aoife) whippet.
