Oh dear he doesn't sound very well, Kelly. I really don't know but I wonder if a bit of postural drainage might help him, like they do for cystic fibrosis kids. Maybe hold him in your hand with his upper body lower than his bottom and gently tap his sides with your fingers, I have no idea if it will help but perhaps worth trying. Did the vet have any sugestions?

fill a bowl of hot steamy water and steam him---ive used this before and it gets them coughing and spluttering, bringing up lots of the muccus causing the probs!!!!!

Hi Kelly
How's your pup? One of our Pom's got this too, had the antibiotics etc, but unfortunately we lost him a few days ago. Out of a litter of 5 we ended up with nothing!!!
Hope the other pup is fine too.

Thanks for the advice but we lost him about 3 hours after i posted the message. He had to helped out and the vet siad he he swallowed part of the sac/fluid. I had nursed him virtually since he was born as mum was more interested in his little sister. She is doing really well. I'm just nervous incase something happens to her. Im sure she'll be fine though..
Thanks again.

Hi sorry about your pup, Bulldogs get this i have had a few. put the pup on a hot water bottle which should be covered, do it so that the pup is sloping down so that fluid can drain out, the hot water bottle helps to dry lungs this can take a week maybe two but it works with the vets help, lots of luck Jackie.
