I was quite strongly opinionated about breeding before having my first litter and I thought that after the litter my opinion would shallow, how wrong I was :-)) I feel 10 times stronger. After Holly had her pups when I was sitting in the same spot for 10 hours ( without a pee) and could not get up to walk LOL I thought to myself how can people do this half heartedly. I clearly remember saying to my hubby after the first one " would you let your next door neighbour delivery your baby" . I felt like I had done so much work and I had 2 mentors on hand or at the end of a phone and 5 mins in a car away, plus my vet on standby that I was more than ready but I knew when the first one came how inexperienced I was. Don't get me wrong I managed fine ( after a few "is this right phone calls" ) but it is something that people should be 200% ready for and why people show strong opinions.

i dont know whether this debate started from the *should there or shouldnt there be a discharge after mating*thread. the reason i asked is mainly because i am so impatient to know if my girl is pregnant.!!. this is my first time breeding.....and yes i have done my homework. my breeder is behind me all the way...ect. its hard to put my meaning across....its like when you are ecpecting your first baby and you cant wait to take a pregnancy test to find out for sure !!. i know some of the questions must sound stupid to long term members and breeders..... we do show our dogs are members of clubs...do everything already mentioned in posts. its just that the only thing we havnt done is breed...and now we have taken that step i am excited....terrifed....i dont like ringing my breeder every time she sneezes thats why i post on here.god i have just read back through this and i sound like a complete thicko...:o :o. p.s. have just been to check on them and they have completely destroyed the front door mat.....now i'm scared she has swallowed some....

Think the comments are not based on one post particularly , mines certainly are not as not read your post at all. Think it is just general comments and if you have as you say done your homework then I would not worry.
