At what age could a cocker spaniel puppy move on to adult pedigree chum tinned food. She is currently on pedigree chum puppy. She is 5 1/2 months now. I realise that this is too early at the moment but I was just wondering for the future!!

Thank you for your help in advance.

PS I have asked a few questions before and have always had very good answeres!!

Hi

I usually change my Cockers from puppy to adult formula (whether tinned or complete food) at around the 8-9 month stage when they have done most (if not all) of their growing. You may find that your pup will prefer the adult mixer biscuit rather than the small-bite (if that is what you are using now) even earlier, perhaps 6-7 months (some seem to prefer the larger size biscuit to munch on)

HTH
