hi, just a quick question, i've seen an advertisement for puppies for sale which states a well known show affix saying the puppies are from these lines, but then it goes on to state that the puppies are not registered with the kc but registered with the dog lovers reg. i didn't think this could be possible and was just wondering what everyone else thinks? sorry if that sounds stupid!

I can assure you that its possible, and thats all im saying, its quite common.!!!!!!

HI Guest, the dam & sire must have been registered with the KC or they could not have been shown. Why the pups aren't, well it could be for any number of reasons, most not good. If a pup has been bred in compliance with Kennel Club rules a breeder will either register with the KC or not at all, IMO to register with the Dog lovers lot is just trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the puppy buyers.

Hi, just a though, but because it says they are from the well known affixs lines, it could mean they are not necessarily bred by that kennel, just from a dog/bitch bred by them. We have seen several ads in the last couple of years advertising pups (and even older bitches) as being "from Afterglow lines" - but certainly not bred/being sold by us! When queried, it has turned out that the dogs/bitches had Afterglow somewhere in the pedigree! There was also a spate of pups advertised as "DEXTER" grandchildren/great-granchildren - no mention of the rest of the pedigree! Luckily, have not yet discovered any registered with Dog Lovers!
